Owner’s Message

The Pride of Uchinanchu.
~ Pouring our soul into every steak ~
Thank you for your continued patronage of OKINAWA ORIGINAL STEAK HOUSE 473.
80 years have passed since the war.
This island, once reduced to ashes, has risen with resilience, embracing the eras of the Ryukyu Kingdom, the U.S. administration, and the return to Japan.
Supporting this journey was the unwavering “Pride of Uchinanchu” (Okinawan people).
Today, Kokusai Street is known as the “Miracle Mile,” attracting visitors from all over the world.
However, amidst the flood of foreign capital and mainland chains in Naha, we remain proud to stand as a “Locally Owned Restaurant.”
I was born and raised in post-war “American Housing,” growing up alongside this unique steak culture.
My roots also lie in the teachings of my ancestors, who were masters of Okinawa Kobudo (Ancient Martial Arts).
Carrying this inherited “Martial Arts Spirit,” I honed my discipline to become a National Taekwondo Champion.
Now, I pour that fighting spirit into a new mission:
“To deliver Okinawa’s Steak and Awamori culture to the world.”
Supported by U.S. military personnel and our loyal fans, 473 stands here today.
I promise to provide the “Authentic Soul” and “Uncompromising Taste” that large chains can never mimic.
We welcome you with the pride of Okinawa.
OKINAWA ORIGINAL STEAK HOUSE 473.
